What it is
Fuelnox is a fuel conditioner concentrate supplied in a working container. One 10 ml capful treats 40 litres, and at tank scale the same ratio is applied to the delivered volume. It goes into a tank, a bowser or a can, and the fuel distributes it through filters, pumps, lines and injectors.
What it does
- Cleans while engines work. Gums, varnish and carbon are lifted from injector tips, jets, lines and tank walls in service, and regular dosing prevents the next accumulation.
- Manages water. Air drawn into a tank carries moisture that condenses against the walls. Fuelnox passes it out through combustion instead.
- Keeps stored fuel serviceable. Treated fuel is still good when the engine is next needed.
- Lubricates. High pressure pumps and injectors are lubricated by the fuel and by nothing else.
Starting improves first, most obviously on whatever has been standing longest, then idle quality and pull under load. This is not extra power. The engine is getting back what the deposits had gradually taken, and a cleaner system also smokes less.
How to use it
Two capfuls per 40 litres the first time you treat an engine, then one capful per 40 litres at every fill after that. A capful is 10 ml.
For a bulk tank or bowser, dose against the delivered volume as it is filled, so the load mixes on its way in. Vehicles filled from it need nothing further, and drivers have nothing to measure at the pump.
Where engines are being put away for a while, use the double dose. Run each engine long enough to pull treated fuel through to the injectors, so no untreated fuel is left sitting in the pump.
Keep it on every fill rather than saving it for lay-up periods. Deposit control depends on the product being present continuously, not occasionally.
What it is safe with
Diesel, petrol and two-stroke, including B7, E5 and E10. A single ratio removes the matching problem in a mixed fleet, where the wrong bottle on the wrong engine is a real risk.
Seals, hoses, carburettors, catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters are unaffected, and older mechanical injection takes the same treatment as current common rail. The formulation is ashless and contains no sulphur, phosphorus, nitrogen or metallic ingredients, which is the part those components react to. That is the answer to the question a workshop asks first.
Overdosing does no harm. With several people dosing and a bowser to fill, that matters more than precision.
What it will not do
It conditions fuel and nothing else. Mechanical wear is outside what it can reach, and a component that has already failed is not recovered by it. A heavily fouled system clears progressively rather than in a single tank.
Free water lying under the fuel is a drainage job first. Fuelnox acts on moisture the fuel is holding, which prevents a layer establishing rather than removing one already there.
Dosing the tank as it fills is the cheap part of running a fleet. Unplanned filter changes, injectors sent for testing and a vehicle off the road are the expensive part.
This size
5 litres is 500 capfuls and treats 20,000 litres. It is the working container for a fleet, a workshop or a yard, enough to dose through the year without reordering. It is also the size at which dosing moves off the individual engine and onto the tank that supplies them. Where fuel is held in bulk or kept as standby stock, the 25 litre is the container that suits.
